THE DEPRESSED

THE DEPRESSED
When I saw this picture what came to my mind was writing an article on the depressed.

Depression start from rejection, when you are in an environment that rejection speaks louder than love you will be depressed if you aren't careful.

Depression can make an individual seems wicked but unfortunately you got the picture wrong that individual might be passing through rejection.

Now look at the picture the child inside the car has been in an environment of love, he first loved himself that was why he was able to give his peer that looks inadequate.

It is not all kids that knows how to give, I have seen a lot of kids that doesn't know how to give but this young boy knows how to give because he has grown in an environment where he has learn how to love. He has learn how to love himself before loving others.

Most times the reason for depression is caused by rejection most children born in an humble background always experience this, in other words they believe they are not fortunate, they believe life is not fair due to what they perceive in their environment. They need something but unfortunately they can't get it.

However, most of them never knew who their parents was. They grew up in an environment where they are always rejected of their opinion. They never had a moment in their life where they were celebrated.

All this started from childhood, and as time goes on they never dropped it. Instead they carried that mindset till they became adults.

One of the ways of fighting depression is learning how to love you. When you love you, you won't feel rejected instead it triggers you to love others and when loving others you will be happy and fulfilled.

Fight Rejection so you won't be in Depression.

Female nurse on transparent PPE without uniform set to be disciplined.

a nurse on an all-male coronavirus ward in Russia has been disciplined for only wearing ‘lingerie’ beneath her highly transparent protective gown.
Her revealing picture went viral after being taken by a patient at a hospital in Tula, 100 miles south of Moscow, who said there were ‘no complaints’ from his bedfellows.
But hospital chiefs were not amused and punished the nurse for ‘non-compliance with the requirements for medical clothing’.
The unnamed medic in her 20s said she was ‘too hot’ wearing her nurses’ uniform under the gown, reports dailymail.co.uk.
She told her managers at Tula Regional Clinical Hospital that she did not realise the PPE she wore when treating coronavirus patients was so transparent.
Despite this, the regional health ministry reported that ‘a disciplinary sanction was applied to the nurse of the infectious diseases department who violated (uniform) requirements’.
Her chiefs at first said the woman was wearing ‘lingerie’ but later claimed she had a ‘swimming suit’ beneath the gown.
The nurse has not spoken publicly on the incident and the exact details of the discplinary action were not revealed.
One patient said there was no objection from men in the coronavirus ward while admitting there was ‘some embarrassment’.
A reader of local newspaper ‘Tula News’ congratulated the nurse. ‘At least someone has a sense of humour in this gloomy, gloomy reality,’ said Sergey Ratnikov.
Another supporter said: ‘Everyone shouted at her, but no one paid attention that she was dressed in this way because of the heat.
‘Maybe you need to yell at the management … because there is no normal air conditioning here.’
A woman commenter Marina Astakhova posted: ‘Well done, she raised the mood of the patients.’
And Valery Kapnin wrote: ‘Why punish the nurse, you need to reward her. ‘Seeing this outfit, no-one wants to die.’
The incident came as the head of Russia’s Covid-19 monitoring centre, a former TV doctor, Alexander Myasnikov, shocked viewers with his blunt speaking on the coronavirus crisis.
‘The infection will anyway take its toll,’ he said. ‘It’ll take its toll. ‘We will anyway all get sick.
‘Those who were supposed to die will die.’
By Tuesday, Russia had a total of 299,941 cases of infection, with an official death toll of 2,837

Expert urges regular blood pressure check as the world marks world hypertension day

Today is marked as the World Hypertension Day
World Hypertension Day is a day designated and initiated by the World Hypertension League (WHL), an umbrella to organisations of 85 national hypertension societies and leagues to create awareness about high blood pressure.

The theme for this year's commemoration is "Know your Numbers" simply telling you to regularly check your blood pressure whether you are old or young.

Blood pressure is the force that blood exerts on the walls of the blood vessels as it flows. When the pressure high,  one is said to have hypertension or high blood pressure.

Normal adult blood pressure according to WHO is defined as a blood pressure of 120 mm Hg when the heart beats (systolic) and a blood pressure of 80 mmHg when the heart relaxes (diastolic) simply known as 120/80mmHg.

When systolic blood pressure is equal to or above 140 mm Hg and/or a diastolic blood pressure equal to or above 90 mm Hg the blood pressure is considered to be raised or high.

Hypertension is the leading cause of heart diseases and stroke.  According to WHO,  an estimated 1.13 billion people worldwide have hypertension, most (two-thirds) living in low- and middle-income countries. In 2015, 1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women had hypertension.  Hypertension is a major cause of premature death worldwide.

Current studies shows that the prevalence of hypertension is on the rise among all age groups and must not be neglected by anybody both young and old.

Risk factors of hypertension include those that are modifiable, examples are eating unhealthy diets (have excessive salt,  high in saturated fat, low intake of vegetables and fruits), consumption of tobacco,  taking alcohol,  being overweight or obese.  Physical inactivity is also a very big risk factor for developing hypertension.
Other risk factors which cannot be modified are family history of hypertension,  being 60 years and older,  co-mobidities like kidney disease or illness.

The symptoms of hypertension are not always noticeable, no wonder hypertension is termed silent killer as most people will have hypertension without knowing until they have stroke or heart attack.  This is why one must regularly check their blood pressure.
Symptoms,  when they occur can include headaches, frequent fatigue, irregular heart beat,  chest pain etc

Uncontrolled hypertension can cause stroke,  heart attack,  chest pain,  chronic kidney disease and death.

Hypertension can be prevented by modifying the modifiable risk factors  by reducing Salt intake,  being physically active (WHO recommends 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week), reducing intake of alcohol and tobacco,  eating healthy foods with lots of fruits and veggies etc.

Hypertension can be managed by regularly checking your blood pressure,  adhering to prescribed medications and exercises if you have been diagnosed of hypertension,  reducing mental and physical stress by getting enough rest and doing things that makes you happy.

Check your blood pressure today!

Land tussle : Anglican and Catholic clergy men fight dirty.

Sirwels.com
It was a peaceful demonstration today as Clergy men of the Anglican Diocese on the Niger staged a protest to render their dissastisfaction over what they called manipulation and confiscation of Mission schools by the government of Anammbra State.

The protest which took off from Aroma Junction, Awka ended at the State Government House, along Enugu-Onitsha Expressway.

The clergymen on their full regalia urged the well meaning Nigerians and the masses to be judgemental on how the state government should confiscate Bishop Crowther Memeorial Primary School and the land at the back of Bassilica of the Most Holy Trinity, in Onitsha respectively, and handed same over to the Catholic community, even when Anglican were the owner of the controversial geographical space.

The case over this issue has been lingering for over 5 yrs, but the recent combat with the Catholic brethren and the intervention of the State Government ignited the misunderstanding within to go public.
